This buffet (we went on Saturday) is located between the Blue Martini and Salt Grass Steak house inside the Golden Nugget Casino. It has plenty of seating, was very clean, and offered several different types of food. As a note, the bathrooms are outside the buffet (restaurant) and down a hall next to the Salt Grass.
From the moment we arrived, the staff was very polite and genuine. They didn't rush us even though we were not sure what we wanted. I do want to give special thanks to Lakeisha (our server), she was very patient (we had 8 people), attentive, and never too far away. So well done!
Now to the food, we tried a little of everything. Most everything was good, but there were some items that could have been better. The rib eye was very fatty (more than normal) and was not hot and the boiled shrimp needed seasoning. Having said that, the ox tails were some of the best I have EVER had! OK so really, it was amazing! I went back twice just to get more (OK, three times but I won't admit it). Also, the braised short ribs, egg rolls, mussels, and gumbo were all delicious too (but those ox tails!!!!) Finally, they have an extensive dessert bar with real ice cream (not soft serve).
We had a very good experience even though some of the dishes were not very good.
Overall, we were happy with the experience and would recommend it to visitors and locals alike. -

Husband and I both got food poisoning from this buffet! Never again! For the price you pay, you would think that the food would meet standards to keep food at the proper temperature. As I said before never again!

Lindsey the waitress was excellent. Food was average buffet. Desserts were good and i loved the mac n cheese. Need more fruit options though. $37 a person and theres no crab was the only downfalls. The manager lady was very nice as well

Not impressed. Food looked like it had been sitting out for hours and flavor/selection was lacking.

We usually come here to eat when we don't want to drive far for the food. $35 per person could be a bit pricey but we thought it was worth it because of the food. Last weekend, we came here. The price has gone up to $40 per person. We thought it wasn't that bad until .....
We went inside and all of the good food was gone!!! No crawfish, no snow crab legs, no oyster, etc. We were bummed. We walked around looking at the food and nothing looked good enough to eat.
Brisket was overcooked and dry. Steak was rubbery. Beef broth was salty. Broccoli tasted buttery. Deserts looked and tasted "old". None of the food seemed freshly made.
Really disappointing!!
